Roberta Wolff – Mentor (piano)

Roberta is an experienced pianist, educator, and coach. She is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and her work in this sector includes teaching performing arts pedagogy at postgraduate level for Guildhall School of Music and Drama, and piano pedagogy for ESTA Education.

Roberta has many years of experience mentoring teachers in the performing arts. This includes private sessions and mentoring and reviewing teachers on the Guildhall Professional Development. She is passionate about supporting teachers as they become clear on their aims, values and teaching philosophy and then finding creative approaches to motivate, empower, and inspire their students. Research-informed practices are the key to success and as part of her own professional development she is about to complete an MSc Education with a dissertation on professional identity in performing arts teachers.    

Roberta’s community practice includes running a studio offering one to one lessons, performance coaching, group sessions, teacher mentoring, audition preparation, and musicianship training. She is also a trained coach practitioner and member of the European Mentoring and Coaching Council. In the past, Roberta has written for Pianodao and Top Music Co., created Music Me Piano Practice Resources and trained and worked as a Steinway Piano Technician. A theme of empowering and enabling others runs through her career.
